WHAT WE DO

Expert Property Loss Assessing and Claims Management for All Property Types

We manage your claim from start to finish, handling every detail so you can focus on getting back to normal.

Residential Claims

Private dwelling homes, apartments, holiday homes, rental properties and farmhouses across Galway and the midlands. We handle fire, flood, storm, escape of water, subsidence and accidental damage claims, from the first phone call through to the final settlement cheque.

Commercial Claims

Offices, retail premises, industrial units, licensed premises and hospitality businesses. Alongside the damage itself we quantify business interruption and loss of profits, so the settlement reflects the trading you lost as well as the building you need to repair.

Farm Claims

Farmhouses, slatted sheds, milking parlours, machinery and livestock. Agricultural claims are rarely straightforward, and we know how to evidence livestock losses, contaminated feed, storm-damaged roofing and oil spills to the standard an insurer will accept.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Process

01

Initial Consultation

We carry out a comprehensive assessment of the damage to your property, ensuring all affected areas are identified and nothing is overlooked.

02

Notify Your Insurer

We report the claim on your behalf and take over the management of the claims process from the outset.

03

Arrange a Joint Inspection

In most cases, your insurer will appoint a loss adjuster to inspect the damage. We arrange and attend the joint inspection to ensure your interests are fully represented throughout.

04

Prepare and Submit Your Claim

We prepare, document, and manage your insurance claim, handling all correspondence and ensuring that all supporting information is submitted accurately and promptly.

05

Negotiate the Settlement

We negotiate directly with your insurer or their appointed loss adjuster to secure the maximum settlement to which you are entitled under the terms of your policy.

06

Finalise Your Settlement

Once an offer has been received, we review and discuss it with you. Following acceptance, we gather the necessary payment details and liaise with the insurer to ensure settlement is issued without delay.

QUESTIONS

Common questions

Why Use McCormack & Associates? +−

Besides taking over the claims process and reducing the stress involved, we ensure that you receive your full entitlement under the terms and conditions of your insurance policy.

Can I appoint McCormack & Associates even if the claim is already logged by the policyholder? +−

Yes, we can be appointed at any stage of the claim.

What does it cost? +−

We offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation. Our fee is agreed upfront and is typically a percentage of the settlement we secure for you.

What is the difference between a loss assessor and a loss adjuster? +−

A loss adjuster is appointed and paid by your insurance company to assess the claim on the insurer’s behalf. A loss assessor is appointed by you, the policyholder, and acts exclusively in your interest. Both are professionals doing a legitimate job; the difference is whose side of the table they sit on.
